Objectives of AYUSH:

Preservation & Promotion: Reviving and promoting traditional Indian medicine.

Quality Education & Research: Standardizing education and supporting scientific research in AYUSH disciplines.

Regulation & Standardization: Ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of AYUSH medicines.

Integration with Modern Medicine: Encouraging evidence-based practice and collaboration with conventional healthcare.

Regulatory Bodies under AYUSH:

NCISM (National Commission for Indian System of Medicine) – Governs Ayurveda, Unani, and Siddha education and practice.

NCH (National Commission for Homoeopathy) – Regulates Homoeopathy education and practice.

CCRAS, CCRUM, CCRS, CCRH – Research councils dedicated to Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy, respectively.

PCIM&H (Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy) – Ensures quality standards for AYUSH drugs.
